This unique estate is also home to exotic animals which are spread throughout the 1,100 acres of rolling hills enclosed with white picket fences From the moment I jumped up on their large open air custom safari vehicle for the tour, I knew I was in for a fun ride. You’ll make several great stops to take in the scenery, taste local wines and get up close and personal with exotic animals like zebras, camels, alpaca, bison along with the local celebrity “Stanley” the giraffe 🦒 who starred in Hangover 3. He’s so friendly and ate right out of the palm of my hand. The property is owned by the Semler family and their original dream was to farm avocados but they kept freezing over so in 1994 they decide to take a risk and grow grapes. This turned out to be a winning prospect for them as they now have many wonderful red and whites for both private and public consumption . As an animal and wine lover, I had the time of my life at Malibu Wine Safari and a return visit is definitely in order!
